New associate membership encourages FFA members to remain Forever Blue

 

Imagine having the chance to stay involved with the National FFA Organization past your high school years – for free.

Starting this spring, this will become a reality for all graduating seniors who are currently FFA members.  The National FFA Alumni Association has added associate membership in addition to their four other types of membership, which entitles graduating high school FFA members up to five years of free membership to the alumni association.

The alumni delegate body adopted the associate membership last year, and it went into effect Sept. 1 of this year.  Associate membership enables members to receive electronic information from FFA Alumni.  However, they do not have voting rights and are not eligible for award programs.

Associate membership is also currently open to any FFA member who has graduated between the years of 2008 to 2012, but the length of their membership depends on the years they’ve been out of high school.
