Francis Bacon once said, “A wise man will make more opportunities than he finds.”
Day three of the National FFA Convention & Expo is under way, and the chances to find opportunities are endless. The past two days have offered members an opportunity to be challenged and “Grow” in leadership and service. The moments that students have been sharing through networking events, leadership workshops and career development opportunities are invaluable to the student’s time in Indianapolis.
To this point, the National FFA Convention & Expo has been packed full of information and opportunities to challenge the student’s abilities and outlooks. As we look forward to the last day of the convention and expo with the American FFA Degree ceremony and collegiate and alumni career fair, I have one challenge for you.
Make more opportunities than are provided. Take the time to connect with employers, meet fellow collegiate members and develop network connections. Take the small window given and develop a large tunnel. Above all, be a wise FFA member and make the most of every opportunity.
